Tom Patton

For the past two years Tom has been supported by Bike Addiction and has actively competed in all forms of mountain bike racing at the Club, State and National levels. Tom is a member of the Central Coast Mountain Bike Club at the Ourimbah State Forest and competes at an Elite level. In his spare time, Tom does road racing with the Randwick Botany Cycling Club and has had several podium finishes in the B-grade Club level.

Tom has won four successive “King of the Mountain” titles for best performance in his division in DH, XC and MtnX at the Australian Interschools Mountain Bike Championships held at Thredbo.



In 2004 Tom won the NSW State Mountain Bike Downhill Series and State Cross Country Championships for U15 men. He came first in U17 men at the National Cross Country Round in Beechworth, third in the Killingworth Round and was third overall in the 2004/5 National Cross Country Championships.

In 2005 Tom was third overall in the NSW State Downhill Series and third in the State Cross Country having missed some races due to a broken collarbone. He’s achieved several podium finishes in both disciplines and came second in the Cross Country Championships.

For the 2005/6 National MTB Series Tom has won the U17 Championships in Downhill and Mountain Cross and came 3rd overall in each series despite not being able to attend all rounds. He also won the Junior Men U19 National Mountain Cross Series.

This year Tom has decided to concentrate mainly on Downhill and Mountain Cross racing with some Cross Country in the NSW State Series. He will ride in U19 Men although he’s in the U17 age group. His objective is to prepare for selection in the 2006/7 National Series for the Junior Worlds Downhill Team in 2007 and 2008.

Tom rides for Manitou Suspension, Orange Bikes, Bike Addiction, Troy Lee Designs, Blur Optics, MRP and Dangerboy.
